Quality Control on samples prepared from cut parts Production parts using abrasive cutting as one step in the process are frequently subject to quality control investigations. This involves cutting a section through the part , then mounting it in resin and polishing to reveal surface structure which is then examined with a microscope or SEM or hardness tester.
